Almost everytime I get in and out of my car, my knee hits the dome light button and activates the lights under the mirrors, which isn't helping my battery any. Is there an easy way to permanently disable the push in function of this switch?
Well, I'd like the rotate function that adjusts the dash light brightness to stay intact, I just want to disable the PUSH function that turns on the map lights under the mirrors.

The only way I could think of to do that is to remove the switch, take it apart, and wedge something inside that would prevent the button from being able to be pushed in, then reassemble and reinstall.
"Easy Exit Option" ... What is that ... A Martin Baker ejection seat?
Easy exit automatically puts seat all the way back and up when stop button is pushed. Next time you enter and start up the seat goes to your programmed position. 3LT feature.

Never knew this was a dome light switch since none of the C6 coupes I ever owned had a dome light. My 2012 Corvette Owner's Manual calls it an instrument panel brightness ****.

I'm not sure how I'm hitting it, but somehow I'm turning it on accidentally. I've seen numerous other complaints of the same thing on this forum, so I know I'm not the only one.
Unplug the top of the mirror plug in. that will keep them off. Also, any other functions of the mirror. If you can figure out which wires on the plug work the lights you could snip those wires. Seems extreme. It is a PITA as I imagine most of us, I know I have, hit that switch. I just blame it on the people who make these choices when they are drunk and trying to plan the operation of the car before the build.
