To say thanks for all of the help I've received during my years here on CF, I am going to pay it forward by giving the first person to respond to this thread a brand new passenger side sport seat back foam. This is just the back foam, not the base. I accidentally ordered the right side instead of the left, so someone gets to benefit from my mistake.
The caveat-
You must be somewhere in the relative vicinity of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area as I'm not going to ship this. I don't mind taking a bit of a drive to meet someone halfway, though.

Awesome gesture. How far are you willing to travel? Is this foam for the 05-2011 sport seats or for the 2012 and up sport seats? I don't really know if they are any different.
So... need to pick your brain a bit. Are you talking about the incredibly "thin feeling" seats in my recently new-to-me 2010 GS? If yes, what is the preferred fix and is that what you are doing right now with your vette?
And... i'm also in DFW, not mentioning this for the free foam, just a friendly hello

The foam is for the 05-11 sport seats, and is very different from the later models. I'd be willing to travel an hour's or so distance from where I am located south of Dallas.

I replaced the seat base foam in both seats and used the seat rebuild kit from JW Motoring, which includes additional foam that adds extra support to the posterior along with the jute pad that protects the foam from the wire frame. I also replaced the seat back foam in the driver's seat as mine was cut through at the bolster. This made the seats just like new again, and I find them very comfortable. I tested them out on a 4000 mile round trip to Cali and back, and really only stopped when the car needed more gas. If I'd had more time on my vacation I would have kept going.

Thanks, definitely need to look into this. I don't notice any issues with the seat backs, but the drivers side bottom is thin (haven't sat in the passenger seat).

The foam was most likely cut by the wire frame it sits on; nothing protects it, and that wire cuts the foam like a cheese slicer. That's why I used the seat rebuild kits to prevent this from happening again. It's a pretty simple job.
This has to be a new record! I think the old one was about 15 minutes, and the item was gone before most of the forum even had a chance to read the thread.

It's about a $100 piece of foam too. I thought it would be gone the first day.
