I noticed this weekend that my harmonic balancer is wobbly so it's time for an upgraded unit.
I'm having issues finding any decent write-ups for the process. Does anyone know of one? The only info I can really find is that the steering rack has to be removed.
Dozens of threads out there & lots of youtube videos. I searched using google and the site:corvetteforum.com switch to get most of them from here.
The one video that was HD and really nice didn't apply to me as he had the entire front end off of the car so it was easy to move the rack around.
Biggest trick I found so far is that with the upper rad hose removed at the rad & power steering reservoir removed there was room to get the abs module unplugged electrically and shoved up above enough to get the rack out the driver's side. Lots of little clips holding the brake lines onto the carriage too.

Good luck
Yeah, I've watched the videos but most of them are at the point where they are ready to remove the HB itself. That's not super helpful to me unfortunately. I'll do some google searching under the forum specifically and see what I can find. I intend to pull the radiator as it needs a flush anyways.
A lot of the videos (Froggy especially) are of the C5 instead of the 6 too. Enough of a difference to matter.
Oh, another big one I noticed is that the cradle doesn't drop/lower until you remove the bottom shock bolts. Getting that to drop that 1" or so is huge.

Yup, its the same. Ask around. Many have done this including myself. Just finished putting mine back together a couple of months ago. Look up A&A website on their supercharger install. It has a basic breakdown of what will need to be removed. Also do a search on CF for cam installs. Good luck and let us know if you need anything. There are also a few on here who have done it without removing the steering rack (which is a PITA to remove and replace).
I really appreciate all of the replies. Now I just need to come up with a parts list.
I'm going ATI balancer, but I'm seeing varying part numbers for it so I need to do some research.
ARP bolt
Continental elite belts - Again need to do some research on part numbers
And I remember mention of a oil seal to replace while I'm at it and need to research that.
Now to decide if I want to go with a cam while I have everything apart. I had planned to wait until next year on that.
I have an '07 and my balancer developed a bad wobble. The guy that replaced it for me saved the box and the old balancer for me. This is the ATI tag off the box. It works fine, is the standard size, runs true, makes no noise... I'm pleased.
He used a new GM bolt, a new GM seal and I picked up a set of Gates belts on the way to his shop.

Got everything ordered and on the way. I ended up going with a PowerBond balancer to save a bit of cash.
I also found a shop that will do the work for $400 plus fluids. With the current heat I'm strongly considering going that direction even though I have a lift in the garage.

That is probably a good idea. However, if its not a daily driver, then you can take your time. And may even decide to do some more work if you wanted to. And with a lift, you can probably go the route of dropping the cradle instead of pulling the rack.

Get you the pulley install tool as well. I got mine from ebay for $15. Some make them but its just as cheap to buy one thats already made. And yea might as well do a cam while you got the pulley off.

Dropping the cradle sure sounds easier than removing the steering rack. But, unfortunately I have no engine hoist.

Powerbond is what I chose for my supercharged application and I've recommended it to others.
No complaints about ATI functionally, but you just don't need to spend that much money on a street car direct factory replacement.
Also, the GM factory replacement bolt (the one with the orange loctite shoulder) is a better choice than the ARP bolt. GM got it right on this bolt revision.
