^^ Thanks, didn't know it's up to 75K miles for a CPO. Trouble is that 6 yr/100K mile powertrain warranty is only good for another 30K miles if the car now has 70K on it. But, then the new B2B warranty will kick in for 12 mos/12K miles from date of purchase. Presume it will cover powertrain.

We did not get that far into the conversation. I made an offer I felt reasonable and they declined.
I contact the person on this one and did not get a reply back. Guessing either sold or they no longer want to sell. I usually hit craigslist and then cities about two hours around to see what they have.
The search goes on, which is okay as I am not going to rush it and just buy one to buy it.

In regards to the warranty work- the only thing that would give me cause for concern is the electrical work. Also- why on earth would you need to replace the radio 2x?

I bought my 05 with a laundry list looking like that. None of it is too crazy, if anything minor electrical gremlins (radio related) and a few few non engine/drivetrain stuff and targa issue (lots of cars had targa top issues).
I would pass just on the price alone though. It's more show stopping problems like drivetrain and engine which would scare me out of buying.

I noticed that the according to Carfax the car was driven 6K+ miles in the first month of ownership, and had spurts of 3K to 5K miles in short periods throughout it's life. The high mileage may be the result of many highway miles which would be less damaging than all rural or city miles. Still though, there was a lot going on with that car as far as adjustments and replacements, etc. Possibly a Monday or Friday built car

The owner had the car in for work within days of purchase, and continued to bring it in regularly. There is "meticulous", and there is OCD. I vote the latter.
Car is probably fine, but price is too high...maybe $31/32, not $33, for me.

I would pass. I just picked up a 2012 Grand Sport. 18,000 miles 3LT with heritage package. for 34k. Clean history.
I can't imagine paying the same for a car with that history and that many miles.
I would steer clear of it.

Need auto and minimum 2LT. Prefer 3LT.
Been checking Chevy dealers north to south.
Need to start checking private parties more.

I got my car through a private sale for thousands less than what dealers were asking even after negotiations. It's a little more risky but worth it if you are looking for value per dollar. Also, the car was cared for and garage kept until the day I took it home.

It just seems private sale prices are same or higher than the dealers.
Except for some odd ones like the guy with a 2009 he wanted 24K for, but was in poor shape from not being taken care of.

Use BOTH Carfax and Autocheck. You would be surprised that there are differences between the two reports. Private sales are good if you use due diligence...VIS report and inspection by a qualified body collision expert and a qualified mechanic, and a clean history.

I just don't understand this allegiance to dealers. I have yet to meet a used car salesman at a Chevy dealership who knew the HP rating of a base C6, or the rear end ratio, or even what 3LT correctly gets you. A current owner is far more likely to know more about his car than any salesperson.

Regardless of the miles, a 2012 is outside of specifications to be GM CPO; I suspect the dealership is offering it as "CPO" so they can lure some unsuspecting shopper into buying a BOATLOAD OF PROBLEMS. I say this because I only had two warranty-related items on my '05 that I traded in with >149K miles.
Don't walk away from this car, RUN FOREST RUN.
I just picked up a 2013 2LT A6 base coupe with <15K miles (it would have been out of GM CPO specs) thru CarMax; I was fortunate in that the car was transferred to where I used to live and I took the VIN to the local dealer where I bought all my vehicles for the past 10 years and they checked the database for warranty work. I was skeptical about buying from CarMax, but if you can find what you want nearby your local CarMax (https://www.carmax.com/stores#keywords=illinois) or have one transferred at no charge (that's what I did with mine), see if you can have a local GM dealership check the database for warranty work and if it's excessive, you can walk away from it.
Keep looking and don't settle for something.
