Nitto tires use to be a good bang for your buck tire back in the 90's. Anyone have a set of Nitto's on their vette and do some semi aggressive driving? Mainly hanging corners. Looking for a review on them.
yes i have 2010 grand sport but the previous owner said i can use base c6 tires for the GS as well so what gives?
WOOOOAAAA !!! curb your tongue there. No GS owner is ever gonna want anything to do with putting the same tires that would fit a base on their beloved GS. That could possibly be cause for life imprisonment !!!...LOL.....

He told me has done it to save money and i dont mind doing it either. like i said i bought the car for the head turner aspect of it being honest, but i dont care about performance as long as the car drives im happy with any tire

He lied to you. The base width tires will not safely fit on a GS.
why not buy the rears now, and the fronts 5-6 months?? If you can't afford tires, how can you afford to fix anything when breaks? I can't afford a corvette right now, so I am waiting when I'm ready and have the money.

im not going to buy expensive tires, i just need the car to move
I'm not saying everyone should spring for Michelins, but even my beater cars get "good" tires. I can't stand noisy, bad riding, ill performing, poor wearing tires.

I am not going to bullshit you here ... Here is the real deal.
The base C6 and the GS both have 18" wheels in the front and 19" wheels on the rear.
The problem is that the width of the wheels are not the same between the base and the GS.
What your wanting to do is install a narrow base C6 sized tire on a wide C6 GS wheel.
It just won't work, however, if you manage to mount those skinny base C6 width tires on your wide GS wheels, the car is going to be dangerous to drive.

Bottom line .... I think your NUTS !
Trade that damned GS of yours for something small that takes a set of small / cheap tires !
