With us it's the exact opposite. My wife loves the top down and I don't care for it. We acquired our convertible last November and my wife insisted on taking a 3 hour celebratory tour with it top down. She was dressed for the arctic and I sat there shivering in the cold draft the whole time thinking "this is supposed to be fun?" The HVAC temp indicator read 23 degrees during our "fun run".

Its more about the noise. I Love the vert, Love driving with the top down and the tunes cranked. The Wind Restrictor helps to keep some of the noise of the wind down making it easier to have a conversation if you have a passenger along or to hear the radio. The wife likes it because her hair doesn't get blown around quite so much. And even if I had a coupe I'd still have to have a removable top. What can I say I like topless.

YEP....my wife don't like the noise either. I told her all of the negatives about a vert before i bought it....noise....hair blown.....etc....etc. She would always say...."Oh, i'm fine with all that"....yea, right....lOL. First time we took this one out she said can we put the windows up to cut down the wind. I said heck no, we didn't buy a convertible to ride around with the windows up !!!! Kinda like buying a Harley and complaining about a few bugs in your teeth...LOL.....

I'm very much interested in purchasing a factory wind screen. But I need to know for sure, can the factory windscreen stay up, and in place, when I put the top up. That is important to me, because my top is up and down a few times whenever I drive my 2013 427 Convertible.

Hey,Bee Jay. I'm pretty sure the factory wind screen needs to be removed in order to put the top up. One of the guys in our club has one on his C6 and has to remove it before putting the top up. The wind Restrictor can be left in and does not require removal for top operation.

well that sucks. I guess I'll have to buy the plexiglass restrictor then. Thanks for the info.

Maybe just me but I personally think you would be much happier with the Plexiglas / Wind Restrictor.

I've had motorcycles continuously for over 50 years and a convertible for at least 3/4ths of that time because I like the wind and open air feeling. The Wind Restrictor does not convert your car to a coupe. You still have plenty of air blowing around, but it reduces the annoying blast of air on the back of your head/neck. Quietness is a side benefit of that blast of air from behind going past your ears being reduced. Personally wouldn't have a coupe on looks alone, but wouldn't have a "fun" vehicle that wasn't an open air Vert either.

And well said. But i'm not so bias and in denial to not admit that a coupe is better looking than a vert with the top up. With the top down, then the vert and coupe become two diff. animals from a cosmetic perspective. Then i'll have to agree with ya on the verts superior looks......
