Lets see your aftermarket stereo head units
Looking to pull the trigger on a aftermarket head unit. But, i'm unsure about going to a full touch screen 7" or with some controls on the side of the unit 6.2". Thanks in advance..

Not a fan of 100% touchscreens as I have to take my eyes off the road to use one, plus at times the sunlight glare obscures the screen. I can hit the volume and phone answer buttons (the only ones I use while driving) by feel. If the car had steering wheel controls (which mine doesn't), or Siri understood my voice (which she doesn't), then I wouldn't mind a full touchscreen.

thank you for this thread, as i am ready to pull the trigger this weekend on getting one too. i am looking at the pioneer avh2330nex model. so if you have any feedback or actually have this one installed, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, the cheapest quote ive had so far is $899 dollars with everything and being able to use the steering wheel controls. This is not including the XM stuff, would you guys recommend it? should i get it? or just stick to spotify? thanks in advance.

Here's a during shot:
Attachment 48355518
I guess I don't have any of it powered up, or even a closeup, but here's what it looks like:

That was a cheap Blaupunkt unit that had usb for mp3s, dual camera inputs and bluetooth for nav & streaming music from my phone.

Perfect timing on this thread. Thank you. I have my center console open for a different reason and came here to look up some recommended head unit model numbers.
I went to Crutchfield dot com expecting to get that Pioneer (above) and ended up choosing the Kenwood DNX994S instead. It'll arrive just in time for Thanksgiving. I'll try and keep the gravy out of the speaker jacks.

this is mine! finally! Pioneer AVH2330NEX unit. 100% satisfied and definitely recommend it. there it is connected to apple car play. i use the navigation on my phone which shows up on the screen. The only part that i dont like is that navigation wont work with spotify or vice versa. but if you have apple music, the navigation works with that.
