Default Another Storage Question

I have a GM credit card that is offering a $100 credit for service at the dealership. I have a 2013 C6 which I put into storage last month. I decided to take it out of storage to have a coolant change since it is a required service after 5 years. Should I have changed the oil before putting it in storage? Now that I have the opportunity before putting it back in storage. The Oil has 1300 miles on it.

Replacing full synthetic engine oil with only 1,300 total miles on it can be a real hard pill to swallow.

Gives me the feeling of just throwing money out in the street.

Oil, synthetic or not, should be changed at least once per year.

Thank you for your comments. The $100 credit is good for any service at a Chevy dealership.
The Oil was changed last August. It now has 1300 miles on the Oil. Would you recommend the oil change after I take it out of storage in April?

But only if you're doing it to keep a warranty intact or the OLM gets to 0. Otherwise it's a waste of finite resources.

I do once a year oil change on my GS regardless of mileage. Only drive around 2500 miles/year.

There was an article posted somewhere about why oil should be changed annually, even if the car isn't driven much.

I always change my oil and filter before storage, gives me piece of mind and you are good to go for the following season.

Wouldnt hurt. You can change it once a year without a problem. In fact Mobil is selling oil made to be changed once a year. Synthetic is tough. Changing it now is silly

You should be just fine with only 1,300 miles on it. If its a deal breaker and bothers you then I would have the oil changed and maybe the oil filter too The anti freeze is very easy to change yourself and I do mine every two years. I just do a drain and fill I don't flush it out or anything and by doing it every couple years it looks like brand new. Plus, I don't have to worry about a big air bubble in the system. Personally, I like to run mine once a week for about 15 minutes and have been doing this for years. I do have two friends of mine that have fairly new C-6s and they had to have a new AC compressors installed because the cars sat too long without being started up.
