Go to the battery store and buy a replacement battery. Take the old one out, put the new one in. Done.
Batteries are like tires. Get which brand you like. Most any auto parts store, Wal-Mart, etc will carry a replacement battery. There is a chart to look at that will give you the replacement number. Easy.
Just replaced mine today. I always buy the AC Delco brand that is sold by my local Chevrolet dealer. I could probably save a few bucks going to Autozone, but I know I’m getting exactly what is needed and the Delco batteries have served me well for years and years.
I'll bet the guys recommending OEM don't have a dry sump.
Buy a replacement that has the vent provision and most importantly, a handle for ease of installation. Your knuckles with thank me.
AMEN, brotha !!!!
Blooded and scraped knuckles and wrist trying to get that damn OEM battery out of the cubby...especially mine as there are auxiliary power cables in there too for the aftermarket amps.
I run a Shorai lithium battery in my C6 Z06 for racing/competition events....weighs 4.4 lbs. and is really small
I also use an Optima yellow top which is a group D35 AGM battery and requires no venting. It too is smaller than the OEM battery and can be easily installed and removed from the cubby.
Duracell makes an exact replacement with the same vent tube hookup and a handle. Bought mine at Batteries Plus.
+1 on this and Jetstream's comments! Just did this a while back on my dry sump GS. Damn GM OEM battery was a pain, without handle to remove. Not having a battery strap to attach to the posts, I ended up impressing the wife by using two vice grips attached to posts, clamped tight and pulled right out. Used Duracell which matched size, bracket (important!) vent tube and had collapsing handle.

Definitely, Delco. You can't go wrong with a Delco battery. I have never had a Delco fail on me yet but, I do replace them when they are about 6 years old.
Most Chevrolet dealers will give you a discount if you mention that you are a member in a Corvette Club. You might have to take your old battery with you because they might want to exchange it.
You will need to re-index your windows after you replace the battery. The procedure is listed in your owner's manual.
Since, you're replacing the battery in your car, this is a good time to replace the battery in your Fobs.
