I have put a set on two Corvettes. To say the least, I am very pleased.

I have the RF and really no complaints after 13k miles. My only gripe is when i got a nail in the tire i had to cal around for 2 days trying to find a shop that can unmount the RF. I'll be looking for new tires in 2019.

I have them and have been very happy with them but I wouldn't buy another set. Why? Because apparently Michelin makes them in batches and when that batch runs out you're SOL if you have to replace one. I have read threads on here where someone needed to replace one or two and since all the current stock was was sold out they had to wait weeks or months until the next batch was run or go with a set of four from another brand.

My next set of tires will probably be Firestone.

Do you have any experience with RFs that are not GYs?

That's a really broad brush that has little to do with real life, IMO.

I had the stock GYE F1s RFs.. Hated them. Got the new Conti ExteremContact Sports. Superior grips.. very smooth and quite. WOuld never go back to RFs.

There might be some good RFs out there.. but Im not gonna spend another 1k to find out.

Sorry, but this is total B.S.
This fellow obviously has no experience with run-flats other than the stock Goodyears.

OP, my advice to you would be a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ZP (Ultra High Performance All-Season Run-Flats).

Regards,
-Ward

RIGHT............Good call out Ward !

Can we please stick to the original question please ??
After reading all these internet urban legend responses that have nothing to do with the orignal question that was asked i am sure the OP has moved on ....
The OP ask a question about MICHELIN PSS RUNFLATS and our experience with them .....that's it ......!!
And yet people keep posting opnions on other brands and he should run non runflats.....

He does not care about your opinion on if he should buy NON RUN Flats , he also does not care about other brands , he also does not want to carry a tire pump and fix a flat or a tire jack !

If he did he would of asked our opnion on Non Run Flats vrs RUN FLATs and what jack or tire plug he should buy , which we all know has been beat to death in these forums !!!

What makes this forum valuable is folks ask a question and usually get good information back ..... but every once in a while a post goes off the rails like this one ......

Going forward Let's stick the question that was asked and try to refrain from responding unless it diretly involves subject matter about the question that was asked [ not your opnion on another brand etc ] or direct experence , good or bad , about the topic being discussed ......

Dave

Have a fresh set of ZPs on my GS. Love 'em. Grip hard in the warm. Getting ready to find out how they do in the moderately cold and dry. Ride and grip are better than the GYs were when new. Not doing track days so I don't mind giving up a little grip knowing I'm not going to get stuck on the side of the road. They are decent for autocross.

This is my second set of Michelins on my 06 Z51. Had two sets of Goodyears before the Michelins and the Michelins are head and shoulders above the GY's. First set of Michelins was PS2ZP's which where great handlers and went almost 20K miles. This set of MPSS's are even superior to those. I've got a couple of thousand on these now and really love them. Pull the trigger and get a set, you won't be disappointed.

Just had the same ones installed on my 12 GS! Not an expert but could tell the difference in the short 20 mile trip home!! Quieter and smoother ride!!

I also have a set of these and think they are excellent tires. As far as how they are in cold weather drive cautiously, they scared me a few times as I found myself going down the road and around corners sideways.

Idk about runflats, but I switched from old eagle f1 runflats to MPSS, and they beat the HELLLLL out of the goodyears...

I heartily agree with this recommendation. A set of Michelin PS A/S 3+ ZP tires on your car will give it excellent year around traction. I've had them on Red, my daily driver, since they were first released in early November 2016, and they've been outstanding in frigid temps. They kept me out of ditches during freezing rain the week after I got them. I'd say they're probably good for snow as deep as two inches. Just what you need in Pittsburgh.
