Where do you get your Corvette alignment done?
Went to a few national shops to get alignment only to be told they don't do Corvettes, ie BrakeMasters, Midas and PepBoys. Anyone know a national shop that does do Corvette alignments? Need one for my C^ andmy son needs one for his C5

No national that I know of...I use a Corvette-specialty shop. And, like a lot of things, it's not the equipment necessarily---it's the person doing the work. (Just like removing/installing runflats) If it were me, I'd begin asking around Corvette clubs, road racing organizations (such as on here, CF, for your area of US). Racers esp. have to get it right.

I would check with Tire Rack they have companies that do their tire installations and some of them do alignments. I have a special shop that does alignments and installs for Tire Rack. Very

I've used both specialty shops and dealers. I also have camber plates that make the process more challenging. If you suspension is OEM, and you aren't looking for anything unusual, a Chevy dealership or tire center like Discount tires should be fine. I would go to them knowledgeable about how you want it set up. If you say nothing, the spec is broadly written and the tech will just put everything in the green and be done with it. If you go in with something like " I want the front camber at -.7, the caster at 7.5, the toe at 0, for the rear, -.5, and 1/16 total toe out" he'll try a lot harder to get the specs you want and you'll get better tire wear as a result. GM wrote the specs pretty loose, so even if the machine is all green at their specification, you are likely to experience more tire wear.
search is you friend for the pfadt spec sheet if you don't already have it.

Here in Florida, Firestone just did my 2011 GS ... Set it to my specs.
I did not get the 'lifetime' alignment deal ... I just paid $80 + tax for the regular 4-wheel alignment.
Adjusted to: . . . -0.5° Camber on the front wheels
Adjusted to: . . . -0.3° Camber on the rear wheels
As close to O° Toe on both front and rear wheels as they could get
Front wheel Caster was left at +7.8° (they had no need to adjust that)

While I was at Firestone, I also had them replace my left / rear TMPS sensor since it indicated zero pressure (dead battery in it).
I provided the sensor, and Firestone charged me $25 labor to install it and program it to work.

Pfadt settings done at a Firestone store. Got lifetime alignments. Same tech does mine every 5,000 miles. So far tires (Firestone RF) have 21,300 miles and look great.

Alignment Shop
I found a shop in my area that had Hunter equipment and when I visited the shop I found several high end cars being worked on.
Gave them the PDFAT street specs and told them I wanted it as close to that as possible. I am not tracking the car and wanted more wear out of the front tires.
Charge was $140 and they gave me a 90 day guarantee . They also sold high end wheels .
Hope this helps.
Jim

I use NTB (National Tire and Battery ... may be a regional chain) and they're pretty good. The tech that works on mine owns a Vette. And the dealer is generally a good choice too since they will likely have the latest equipment.
I went to a local shop once and they didn't do Vettes. Not sure if it was because it's more difficult, or because owners are so picky.

I wouldn't take any car to a Midas, Pep Boys, or the like.
