Default Help, What No# is my Centennial Ed GS?

Hello all, I am not sure that it is possible but if it is someone here will know the answer. My question is, how do I identify what number centennial edition grand sport I have?

I know that GM built 2,201 CLZ Centennial Pkg. Corvettes across all models, of those 1,040 were Grand Sport Coupes. So of those can anyone tell me what number I have. Example is number 563 of 1,040.

Additional info: Of the GS Coupes GM made 512 automatic and 528 manual. I have an automatic Grand Sport Coupe. According to the VIN my production sequence number is 5102963.
Can any of you smart people help?

Thank you in advance.

Unless there is some plaque in the car signifying which number it is you likely will never know.

About the only way to do it is to gather ALL the Centennial cars up with their build numbers and then go down the line until you reach yours and that's your number.

Thanks, I was going to save that option as my last resort. It is not that important but I am curious.

GM does not break down that data for public consumption (Too time consuming and costly). If they are building a limited edition they will put in a dash plaque with the build number on it. The only thing you can do is break it down yourself with the RPO list and come up with a SWAG (Scientific Wild A** Guess).

Centennial editions weren't numbered per se. I suppose if you could find the VINS of all cars with the package and then ordered them you could number them.

The answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, and your CE GS, calculated by an enormous supercomputer named Deep Thought over a period of 7.5 million years is, 42.

A SWAG created by dividing the total 1040 cars by the number of production days that year and using your production number to find your relative comparable production day and compare it with your "born on date" will get you close enough that no one can argue any better number when they brag about their GS CE compared to the number you decide to choose.
