Looking for my 1st C6. What do you think?

I'm starting to think the interior pictures are from a different car. According to the 2010 order guide, the GS has steering wheel controls on the 1lt and 2lt trim level.

Dealer just sent me the build sheet. It shows steering wheel controls. So the interior pics are from a different car. Who knows, all the pics could be from a different car. LOL I'll find out tomorrow when I go look at it.

So anyways...
I decided against the vette from my original post.
I'm taking a look at this one tomorrow, they said they'd go down to 27950 as their best price.

Seems OK if you want a GS.
I would check cargurus and find an owner car.

Couple observations for your consideration. C6 is a beautiful series for Corvette and my favorite is the 2013 year car. If buying a used car from a dealer I favor GM Certified. Dealer is not going to certify a four owner car. I also like (J55) cross drilled brake package or Z51 package on these cars and this car has the standard. Not a fan of the front license plate bracket bolted on either but the main reason I would not buy this car is the four owner history for a car that is 6 years old. Easy to get emotional about a red Corvette but at this price point you can do better. I would step back and keep looking for a one or two owner well cared for low mile 2013. Good luck.

The luxury options of 1LT ,2,LT and 3 LT wouldn't be my primary concern although if the vehicle is you see is in good shape and has the transmission of your choosing etc...then the price is pretty good for a grand sport.
If you can arrange your own financing I personally prefer private sales on proposed pre owned vehicles. The owner can give great insight just by their very nature ...and the price is usually a little lower.
I'm just giving advice...color and the decision of manual versus automatic are key aspects that I find important in buying a vehicle.
There are many many preowned corvettes available so take your time...
I've owned both...cars with various luxury options are nice but wouldn't sway me on the car I choose...they hold very little residual value as luxury options rarely do ...and after 6 months of ownership they tend to be forgotten..
The hud in the c6 can be added for 600 dollars installed.(not in a c7 though) but I find the option is over rated...it wouldn't be a deal killer for me and I've had it put in two of my cars just because the guy installing my new D shaped luxury fatter DSV steering wheel was trying to upsell me at one of the car shows so I gave the kid the added bonus of installing the hud ...I think it took an hour or two labor total to install the HUD and the fat rimmed D shaped steering wheel.
Where your hands hold the steering wheel is where luxury and high quality come in handy...again just my opinion..
27 grand for a grand sport is a good deal as long as it's in good shape..have the dealer run the vin for vehicle history in GM service department...
Take it for a ride you'll know..
Have fun. These cars are pretty sturdy...there usually isn't much that's expensive to fix anyway...
That's one of the great aspects of corvettes..
They are not german cars and their ridiculous lack of built in durability testing.
GM designs their cars with a 300k mile validation process...
I have on my third new corvette ,this time a 2008 z51 manual and I have 118k miles...
The cars been utterly reliable. Just a great car from a durability standpoint, I use it as my daily driver and it's so good looking and so reliable I can't bring myself to sell it.
The c6 was a great platform and extremely reliable.
I would without question though if buying a pre owned in the mid to upper 20s buy a grand sport (lift off roof).
I daily drive a manual c6 so I'd recommend a manual but to each their own..
With today's fuel injection it's almost impossible to stall out the car so if your new to manuals I wouldn't sweat that...
If you prefer automatic transmission ..then the six speed automatic is fine..but the number one question I get as I daily drive the corvette..after complementing the car..is often.."is it a manual" and when I say yes...I get a big smile and a thumbs up...
The manual transmission is an extra addition to achieving that feeling of connection during the driving experience.
It's not necessary and the automatic is still cool...but since you are asking for opinions , mine would be consider test driving the manual transmission and keep it as a possibility.
Btw..the automatic in most drivers hands is quicker which is always fun too...
So there is no wrong choice..
Good luck and the one thing I wouldn't worry about is mileage on these cars...
It slightly lowers the preowned cost and the durability GM builds into the vehicles makes mileage as I stated early a non issue ...
Have fun deciding ....just get the color you like as well...and of course that's a personal preference

Well I just got done looking at the GS. it drove great, shifting was tight. I got scared away though. It had aftermarket front rotors, the steering wheel controls were gone (replaced steering wheel?), there were 2 holes drilled in the gas pedal (anyone know the reason for that?). The sales guys were puzzled about it all. My guess it was autocrossed? The salesman decided to go through what was done under warranty. The engine was replaced in 2016 at 44k miles. That was the deal breaker for me.

Don't be discouraged, you will find the right Corvette. Every time you look at one you learn a little more about them and that will be a big help to you.
Good luck and keep us informed.

So this is my next possibility. Its from a supporting vendor and the car looks great. I copied a section from the warranty work that was done and i'd like to get ya'lls opinion.

How much other maintenance other than fluids, filters, brakes, belts has been done on that car? How many owners? Carfax?
Are you able to see that car in person before purchasing?
When I bought I was trying to stay in the very low 20K range and I think I found a really nice car but it is a 2005 and that is a turn off for some. This car is priced at 30K and if you have that much to spend you should be able to find a 1 owner low mile garage queen cherry of a vette. Maybe not a '13 but certainly a LS3 car, I would be careful with this one you are showing us.

I would have to finance, so nothing older than 2008.
Again, thanks for all your help guys!!
