tires
Bottom line it's normal when making tight turns, R or L, to feel this slippage & believe something wrong. Pavements like Asphalt are the worst.
No tires can/will stop this, just physics/geometry.

Drain, refill w/ proper lub & a few tight figure-8s to work it in eliminates clutch pack chatter.
*IIRC by MY '07 C6s came w/ improved lube, so this only occurs w/ pre-'07 vehicles w/ old lube.
My '06 chattered, got the new lube under warranty & no more chatter.
Was my understanding OP's issue was w/ front tires when from a stop, making a slow turn. Front tires skip until they're straightened out.
This 'skipping' is due solely to the ultra-wide tires C6 uses, even more pronounced w/ Z06/ZR1.
Hoped by now at least one member would've recalled the term, too.

Often wide tires on uneven road surfaces cause it; but, have heard certain brands of tires can contribute.

Really POed I couldn't recall this term since its been discussed many times here, over the years. Tried CF's search function.

Using a reg search engine & after some rooting around, found it!
It's called the Ackermann Effect.

Glad I found it, was driving me nuts, worse than an 'ear-worm'.
