Default 2011 GS tire chatter

I just drove a GS with Michelin Sport Pilots. When you take a 90° turn slowly, something chatters. I don't know if it is the rear end posi or the tires. Has anyone experienced this?

Everyone has experienced this. It is due to the extreme width of the front tires. While making slow, tight turns one tire must "skip" to keep up with the turn radius. Completely normal, nothing to worry about.

Hold on, let's do some digging....do you hear a metallic clicking noise from the back end or do the front tires skip a bit with some front end jerking?

Just do some figures 8's in a parking lot and it'll go away. That's what I did. Do around 8-10 of them. I had to do it twice to get my chatter to go away. It redistributes the gear oil.

OP didn't say anything about having changed the rear diff oil.

The thread I read about mine was that the gear oil in the diff was no longer between the plates of the posi unit. That was what caused the chatter. Mine chattered, so I did the figure 8's and it never did it again. It cost me $0. If it continued, I would have changed the oil and add the modifier.
