Black Crossflag Emblems
Anyone sell black emblems, not just a cheap overlay? Thanks folks.

I was unable to find any, so I just painted them.

I had the overlays and it looked great. They lasted about 3 years. I couldn’t find replacement overlays or black emblem so I replaced the emblems to the 100 year ones. My car is a 2012 so it makes sense.
What year is your GS?

That looks great Jabcat!
I thought about getting the 100th ones but my car is a 2011 so that won't work unfortunately lol.

Thanks - not hard to do at all. Use fishing line or I used weed trimmer line to slide between the emblems & the car to cut the double-sided tape holding them on. Each emblem has two little posts that fit into holes in the bumpers so be careful of those. Clean off the emblems & tape residue, scuff up the chrome a little then I used a primer, gloss black, then several coats of clear. Apply new tape and stick them back on.
Or you could have them wrapped in vinyl.

If you think about it, GM made a BIG MISTAKE when designating 2012 as the 100th Aniversary of Chevrolet.

Thanks. Its pretty easy to do, just need some vinyl, rubbing alcohol and a heat gun. I cut the vinyl into the shape of the emblem with about 2 inches of excess all around. Then heated it to form and tucked it then take a razor and cut the extra off by following the bottom edge of the emblem. Its nice also because if you mess up you can just peel it off and try again.
