C6 Fob Programming.pdf

I assume you are referring to programing a fob so here is the file.

Being that the car is a export model, will bank that you did not get an 433MHz export Fob, but trying to program a US model 315mhz Fob into the car instead.

Pull the key out the bottom of the fob, and post the number printed on the bottom of the fob (above where the key was).

The number should be 25926481 if the fob has the square buttons like the below photo.

If the fob has the square buttons, looks like this,

But has 25926479 on the bottom, that that is a 315mhz fob for USA models only and will not program into the export vet.

As for export cars, same long and short programming procedures should work with the key in the lock above the rear licenses plate that opens the rear hatch, or if you want to program in the correct fob the quick way, then tech II makes short work of it instead (no waiting the 30 mins for a total relearn to activate when you use the key in the lock above the rear licensees plate).

As for the key that came with the new fob, GM dealer just need to pull the vin number, which will give them the cut code to key the new key to fits the locks on the car (maybe, so long as someone did not replace one of the lock cylinders, and it's not on the same vin number coding as the rest of the car).

thank you very much for your help
but .. when I put the key in the lock of the box, it does not do anything at all and should access the menu of the fob, no?

If this is the fob that you have it was used from 2005 until 2007. The square fob with an internal key was used from 2008 but will work in 05-08 also. Programming proceedure is the same for both. It takes five consecutive turns of the trunk key lock within 5 seconds to enter the setup proceedure.

If you have the older round type fob like above, then look at the back of it and check the model number.

If the number is 10372541(#1 fob), or 10372542 (#2 fob), then these are the 315mhz fobs for the US models, and will not work with your export car that requires a 416mhz fob instead.

I can't find the export 416mhz fob numbers, but if you look are your working fob for the car, will have the number on it, and the only thing that will change on that numbers for the two fobs that are available, is the last digit. Hence last number will be either a 1 for the the fob numbered #1, or will be a 2 for the fob that is numbered #2.

As for once you are in programming (after the 30min wait using the key), the fob you are programming in has to be installed in the fob slot in the glove box for the RCDLR to program it in.

If you do have the right mhz fob, do have it in the slot, but the car will still not program it in come time after the 30 min wait, then this is a simple fix.

What has happened is someone removed the glove box for some reason/ or the fob antenna fell out of the slot on it own, and you just need to install the antenna back in the slot next to the fob slot in the glove box.

The fob slot antenna has to be right next to the fob so it has the highest signal reading from that antenna, before the RCDLR will accept it. Hence the RCDLR has an antenna in it as well, so when the fob slot antenna is not in it slot right next to the fobs slot, the RCDLR is getting about the same signal reading from it own antenna and the fob slot antenna, and cant tell if its the fob in the slot it trying to program in, or just another fob that you may have laying someone else besides the slot isntead.

The part right about #6

I have a round type keychain but only one, the car starts and everything is perfect, but when the machine is inserted, the tayer one gives fault b3119 (antenna without key 1) tomorrow I will see how is the antenna behind the glove compartment, it would influence that does not enter the key programming mode? because I give 5 times to the key in the trunk and does not do anything or a beep or nothing in the box Thank you very much for your collaboration

B3119 code

Circuit Description
The keyless entry antenna - left is located in the left hand B-pillar area and is used as a short range low frequency (LF) transmitter. As a vehicle with locked doors is approached with a key fob and the exterior door handle switch is pressed, the keyless entry antenna transmitter broadcasts a challenge to the key fob in an approximately 1 meter range. If the response from the key fob via radio frequency (RF) is valid, the locked door will be passively unlocked/unlatched and allow the door to be opened.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
The remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) will set this DTC during antenna activation if the keyless entry antenna - left is open, shorted to battery or shorted to ground and an authentication occurs. The RCDLR can only set a DTC when it is the vehicle system voltage is between 9-16 volts.

Bottom line, need a Tech II to see if you can clear the code first, it not, then need to check the antenna and RCDLR for problem with them or the connectors, and if that still does not solve the problem, then could be a bad antenna, or just a cold solder joint problem in the RCDLR that needs to re-soldered.

Download this for trouble shooting the problem, but again, will need a tech II.

As for getting to the antenna in question without having to pull the fender, can go through the fuel door to get to it.

thank you so much ,
as soon as I have time I will start to buck the antennas but I think that the trunk is the one that can fail because I see a lot of strange cable for there mirare that have echoed ayi the previous owners

Problem is, the B3119 code points you to that antenna,

If it was one of the other codes, then would point you to another antenna instead (something like B3122).

My guess, is when someone was putting back in the old speakers on the rear drivers side, manage to clip. or ground out one of the antenna connector wires to cause problems with the 3119 antenna instead.

Again, B3119 code that is popping up as you put the car in to fob learn mode.

Hence problems with the antenna located in the left hand B-pillar area that need to be resolve. Once these are resolve, and you are no longer getting the B3119 trouble code as you put the car into fob relearn mode, it will allow the new fob to be learned into the RCDLR.

the control goes perfectly and open the doors sure that it can be that antenna? you have some image to see what I have to look for and I have been following threads of forums and I have not found any image of what I have to look for and what I read should be a loose or broken connector if that is the problem

Veiw B, Part number 5, inside the fender.

Note you have 4 antenna in the car, then another one in the RCDLR itself as well.
Hence both sides of the B pillar, one in the back, and one next to the fob slot in the glove box, and the last one in the RCDLR itself.

And again, would dare to guess that the problem is not the antenna itself, but the wiring harness to the antenna when something like a aftermarket system installed, then removed again.

Hence you only get the B3119 code when you have a problem with the B pillar antenna on the drivers side (what that code is point to) and trying to put the car into fob relearn mode only to get that code. So until the B pillar antenna problem is resolve so you don't get the B3319 code as you are trying to put the car into fob learn mode each time, the car is not going to go into fob relearn mode at all (not even with a Tech II).

Really need a tech II, to tell you if the problem is a broken wire within the sheiding, a pinch wire that is grounding out, problem with connector crimp to wire pin, or if the antenna is bad to start with.

Once you know the problem, then is much easy to solve it since you know what you looking for to being with.

Yes, but your going to need to get creative to make the actual key in the new style fob work with the older cylinders, since the key blank in the new fobs are too short for the older model cylinders.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...onversion.html

Myself, the older style fobs case just last a lot longer, but you can buy new style replacement cases (just the case, without the internal board) for the new style fobs as you destroy them from replacing the batteries and such.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Remote-...taYRpC&vxp=mtr

As for programming the new fobs in (into either number 1 or 2 in the RCDLR so it will work with memory options if you have them on your car, then you want to use the long procedure.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tructions.html

Note, before you begin the long fob programming procedure, take on of your old fobs that works for the car, remove the battery from it, put the back cover back on, put it into the glove box fob slot with the buttons aiming towards the steering wheel and make sure you can start the car with it. Hence the glove box antenna is installed correctly and working, since if you have a problem with that antenna and it can not recognize a fob without it battery, its not going to let you program in the new fobs.

Also to note, if you have someone close that has a Tech II, it saves a lot of time, since you can use the tool to put the car into VTD relearn mode instantly, isntead of having to wait out the 30 min timer by using the key in the rear cylinder 5 turns instead.

FYI, in the future, post a question like this in a new topic isntead. This way down the road, if someone else has the same question on say programming a new style fob in the old fob style car, they can find it by topic with a quick search isntead.
