It was actually a beautiful day here, hard to believe it's still February. I didn't do much but I took a walk, ran into my neighbor and paid him $20 for a Superbowl bet I lost.
Now I'm broke.

Ha, I remember when I worked 3rd, Monday was the most popular day to not show up. And those who did mostly slept. LOL, and people wonder why GM went bankrupt.

I will admit that shifter action and feel is a very subjective thing, but I never was comfortable with the action of the stock shifter. The MGW is much tighter, more mechanical (think bolt action rifle) feeling. It does require more effort than the stock setup, but not so much as to be annoying. I would also change the shifter ****, MGW offers different shafts for your choice of threaded or stock style ****. I shift with my hand on top of the ****, which was very difficult with the stock setup.
With the threaded shaft you can also raise and lower the ****, which does have an effect on shifting effort.

I remember sitting in a bar with my GF watching the "Snow Bowl" or whatever they called it (99-2000? playoff game?) when Brady came on to the scene. It's been fun watching them ever since.

I am normally, if they're winning. Which is never. If they're playing NE then I root for Bills, otherwise I root for NE.

I recommend driving the car, getting to know it and learn its nuances. After driving it completely stock for a while, then you can get a feel for what you might prefer as far as mods.
After owning my GS for two years, daily driving it every summer, and regularly driving it enthusiastically on the mountain back roads, I feel that it doesn't need much. Except for really sucky tires, the car is very good from the factory.
The only things I've done to it so far are swap the OEM Goodyears for Pilot SuperSports, line the floors with lightweight heat insulation, and upgrade some of the lights with LEDs. I also did a Diablo 93 tune, but that made very little difference.
My future plans include an MGW shifter, upgrade the OEM shocks, headers and cam, Z06 oil cooler, and add a catch can to keep oil out of the intake.

I do feel the car is a little soft suspension wise. I am already lowered on stock bolts, but that didn't seem to do much. I am much more used to the way BMW tunes their M cars which is firm, yet planted.

I agree.
But soft (ish) isn't always a bad thing. Too stiff can be much worse unless you are on a perfectly smooth track or pavement.
The take home is how is the suspension controlling the wheels? How is it taking the bumps or turns and how does it affect your control? How predictable is the car?
My stock GS wallows a little on washboards and tight transitions, but it is predictable and with non-runflat Pilot Super Sports has great grip around even a corner with rough pavement. Body roll is mostly negligible. I would like to add some stiffer dampeners just to tighten that up a little without changing the character too much. I'd rather the suspension be slightly soft than too stiff IMO. But we have terrible roads here so that colors my perspective.

Depends on how you plan to use it.
Sitting in a lawn chair at a car show or polishing it in the garage while rarely driving it will drive one course of action.
Using the car as it was meant to be used on the race track will drive other actions.
General street driving will drive yet another set of alternatives.
