As is always the case with daylight savings, the sun is at my back for half my trip home from work and shines right on my radio screen making it difficult to A) see the darned thing and B) reflects right into my eyes. I flip the screen up as a solution but the other day, just out of traffic boredom, I ran my fingers on the backside of the screen and damn near burned my fingers it was so hot. I can barely keep my fingers on it for more than 2-3 seconds. Does this sound normal?
Don't have this problem, since I have both my sides and rear window tinted within legal limits. Also, have a solid roof so I don't burn the top of my balding head when not wearing a cap with the roof off, so this cuts down on the amount of light that the cabin gets even in bright days.

Do you guys read the first two lines and rattle off some inane reply to everything?

OP, you did not say if you have a coupe or 'vert. If coupe, have you tried installing the hatch sunshade/security cover? Of course, I am assuming you have one.

Since most have missed the only question you asked, I went out to my car, ran it for a bit, and the back of the nav screen is pretty hot. Probably normal.
You might consider an aftermarket stereo with a capacitive touchscreen. It prevents the sun-blindness and allows you to see the screen even in direct sunlight.
