No radio output Pioneer avh-x5700bhs
I posted this question in audio but I don’t think that gets much traffic. I Installed a Pioneer avh-x5700bhs that I picked up used from a member on a different forum. Purchased the PAC RP5-GM11 interface and a Pioneer wire harness. I also installed a Crime Stoppers backup camera.
Wired the PAC harness to the Pioneer harness as indicated in the PAC schematic (all colors to the same corresponding color on each respective harness). I powered it up & the backup camera works, the cd works but the HD radio does nothing. I don’t even get options to change am/fm, presets, etc.? Any ideas?
No stations pop up or am/fm option.

I have that same unit - it is fantastic! Only thing I can think of is did you plug in the antenna ?
Good luck.
Good luck.

I’ll double check but pretty sure all connections are plugged in. Thanks!

My HD just gets very poor reception in general. Do you live in a remote area? Have you tried just driving around? Also like others have said make sure you have hooked up the blue wire for amp turn on and power antenna (I know it doesn't have one) and have used a GM antenna adaptor. If all else fails there is this...

If you have double and triple checked and are positive you've got everything hooked up correctly with the correct harnesses, you could have just gotten a bad head unit. I know from experience it happens; when I put a new one in my wife's old Jeep, everything worked fine (DVD/CD, blue tooth, GPS, etc.) except the tuner. After 2 days of frustration and going over everything several times, took it back and exchanged it for a new one, installed it and everything worked fine. Just a thought

If you aren't getting audio out on any sources, make sure you plugged the harness into the GM11 correctly. There is a plug that will fit in one of two different outlets based on having a factory amp or not.

Blue/white wire is your amp turn on. Blue wire is your antenna wire. Both should be connected.

I plugged it into both that it fits into - 1 allows for normal sounds (buttons pushed, etc. ) the other port made everything much, much louder in the car, like when you would touch anything on the screen the "beep" would be extremely loud inside the cabin, so I have it plugged into the port that appears to give normal sound.

Just an FYI, many people confuse power antenna with the old school ones that go up and down when you turn on/off the radio. But power antenna also includes amplified antennas which are in most newer cars to help with radio reception so that you don't need a large old school antenna on your car.

There should be another corresponding solid blue wire to connect it to on the Pac harness and/or head unit.

Try connecting it to the blue/white wire also. Attach all 3 together and see if you get a signal. It just needs a 12 volt source to work.

Not sure if you are referring to the chime module that comes with the Pac but there is a volume control on it. Most find that it is still a little too loud even when turned down and put a piece of tape over the hole to quiet it even more. Also like the other poster mentioned, the Pac has two slots for the harness. Which one you use depends on if your car has a factory amplifier or not. I believe all C6's have a factory amp regardless of whether or not you have the Bose system. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. I have the Bose system in my car and used the factory amp slot side.
