The COW factor
It is almost finished
I will do a formal review of what it has done to my car and how i feel about it once its finalized but here is a 3 picture simple explanation of how the car feels like throughout its stages so far
1: Stock 06 base automatic

2: Supercharged 06 base automatic with 547 rwhp
3: Supercharged 06 base automatic with COW booster and e-tune

Will keep you posted , hope not with a pic of my car on a tree

I have a collection from around the country and around the world.
Sad part about being a consumer is that you have no idea what you're getting and most think "THE MAGIC DYNO"
somehow matters or makes up for the fact that the tuner doesn't know what he's doing.....
No dyno can correct a tune by someone that does not know what they are doing.
Second point is that I feel the DYNO is the "Plastic Love Doll" of the tuning business.....
Some people think (for reasons I'll never know) that a plastic love doll is "just as good as the real thing" and that
the magic DYNO is the same or better than "REALLY DRIVING YOUR CAR"....
It's NOT.
and many people are now starting to realize that.Ideally, a wideband in the forward part of the exhaust and a "LIVE RECORDING" of varied types of driving....
IS YOUR BEST FRIEND.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I don't think Chuck was implying that all tuners do a bad job. And as such you have good options in Dallas (LG rings a bell).

Thank you..... I'm glad you follow what I mean. Having a dyno DOES NOT qualify you as a professional tuner
and the use of a dyno in no way makes someone elses tune better than mine.
Having tuned thousands of Corvettes both on and off the dyno, I can tell you with absolute certainty that a "DYNO TUNED"
Corvette will in most cases NOT reproduce the dyno power or AFR, KR, IAT, etc numbers on the street that it does on the dyno.
Simply because..... They are NOT the same scenario.
My point in all this is that consumers should understand that the DYNO or the "mail order tune" should NOT be the deciding
factor more that the TUNER himself should be qualifier.
To the guy in Dallas..... You have to realize that I might just be the tuner for your local shop... A point to consider.
I do lots of remote tuning for shops all over the world.... The tune in YOUR car might possibly be MINE.
In recent years, the bulk of my mail order tuning business has been RE-TUNING forced induction cars for cusotmers
who were disappointed with their local shop.
Honestly, I want no part of 1,000 + HP mail order tunes, but 98% of what's out there fits into what I can do REMOTELY
better than many shops do IN HOUSE on their Dyno.
There's PLENTY of decent shops out there that do a good job, but from how often people call me to fix up their tunes remotely,
there are days that it feels like I'm the only guy in the business. Obviously, most people DON'T call when they are happy
with what they got...... I just happen to get all the complaints.
Again, the point of the story..... Dynos are NOT magical and much of the time their owners are not either.
Do your research carefully....

To use your own "woman" euphemism, I prefer to deal with the woman I've built a relationship with in person rather than a mail order bride.
He installed my E-Force supercharger six years ago. Tuning it was a a real challenge for him because I wanted to keep the stock exhaust. Then two years ago I had Chuck replace the original radiator with a DeWitt and the stock exhaust with a set of NPP. Those threw the original tune right out the window. We didn't have time to do a full-up re-tune with a wideband sensor at that time, but that's planned for my next visit this summer.
Go with whoever you trust.
