Our trusty C5 is going away this week and we're a little sad, but getting our first C6 and first convertible. Needless to say just getting a little excited.
The first week will be the usuals:
1) Change all fluids
2) Replace tires
3) Replace Magnaflow (After 5 years of a Corsa Pace on the C5, I just don't care for the Magnaflow)
What other changes have really improved your ride??

ZR1 extended rear spoiler and custom racing stripes. Changed the entire look of the car.

Best for free - lowered 6 mm on stock bolts.
Best costly - stereo amp & speakers.
Maintenance - replace Goodyear runflats w/ Firestone runflats.
Have fun!

Burning Brakes
With a lifetime fleet of dozens of cars the C6 is our first convertible. In all honesty my wife loves verts since her first car was an Austin Healey sports car. The first time out with the top down I hated sitting there in a draft with the wind buffeting around my head and the wind noise. I found out about the Windrestrictor so I ordered and installed one. The top down ride has been a lot more pleasant now. An added benefit is that it also looks great, the custom graphics add to the car and the illumination kit really makes it "pop" at night.

Suspension improvements on base convertible to include heavier front and rear anti-sway bars, Bilstein Sport Performance shocks and heavier front spring. Made a world of difference in handling. Windrestrictor is a nice improvement with the top down.

Melting Slicks
The best mod I made to my C6 convertible was the installation of a Wind Restrictor. It makes those 5000 mile trips with the top down a real pleasure. You can even drive a gravel road and not get overwhelmed with dust.
Hwy 88 from Roosevelt lake to Apache Junction in the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix. About 40 miles of gravel road.

Yes, but I didn't know it was going to be a gravel road when I planned my route on my Garmin GPS. It would have been about twice that far to backtrack and go all the way around.
Had same situation when driving from Glen Canyon NP to Monument Valley, ended up on a 20 mile gravel road. We have also been "off road" in White Sands National Monument and at Bonneville Salt Flats.
It's a car, not a garage queen, and it cleans up just fine.

Good to hear the positive comments on the wind restrictor. I won't need the light, but if it helps with the buffering that's a plus.
