For those that couldn't make the BASH, here are a number of the pics I took while there. Lot's of ZR1's, and the full presentation by Tadge and Harlan on 2018 Review and 2019 changes.
(For some strange reason it picked up the pic from Motor Trend on the C8 Mid-engine as the first photo.....Coincidence??? HA!)
Thanks for sharing that. Those ZR1's really are beautiful cars but I still feel the wing takes away from the look. Yes, I know its functional.
I thought the same thing, but it grows on you. What's interesting is that almost 70% of all the ZR1's produced to date have the ZTK package which includes the big wing. Some were saying that the smaller wing on the ZR1 makes it look like a lot of other Vettes, but the big wing is unmistakeable ZR1. To each their own I guess.

Elkhart Lake Blue, home to Road America.
Love seeing Corvette use a race track's name for a color, again.
Continuing an old Corvette tradition w/ newest 7 is a winner.
Beautiful ZR1s all, could even get over the wing.
'Spose if wondering what insurance costs means I can't afford it.
Speaking of insurance, know the story behind chewed-up splitter & what appears leaking coolant?
Owner must be sick.

Yep, they've continued to name some colors with track affiliation. Most recently was Watkins Glen Gray and Long Beach Red.
No, we didn't get the story on the front splitter. We hung around to see if the guy would show up but he didn't. Yep, the guy had to be sick. But there's also the chance that it was a GM car since there were so many GM people down from Detroit for the BASH, and some of them had ZR1's. (nice job!)

Assume the panels comparison is their new paint facility.
Jim
Yes, they are from the new paint shop.
It’s interesting to note that during one of the seminars where the new paint plant was discussed, they brought an “old” BLACK panel from the recently closed paint shop and a new black one from the new shop to see if anyone could tell the difference, and it was OBVIOUS. We are all going to be thrilled with the quality of paint on all future vehicles!
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
