Agree with seven, run, don’t walk away. Simply too many maint issues in its immediate future. You’ll end up spending more monies than you will ever recoup. Good luck with your search, it took nearly a year to find my current ride.

You will get exactly what you pay for in this case. If you are building a track car or a full custom, it may not be a bad buy. If you are looking for a driver you are definitely in to "Do not buy" zone.
Ask owc6 (Lisa) a forum member what repairs/maintenance she had to do on her '05 Vert with 242,000 miles! This will give you an idea of what you're up against with a high mileage C6.
I think, if its been maintained, it could be a good car. Test drive the car for 20 minutes, look at the seats, pedals, steering wheel, carpet and dash buttons, look at the headlights, front bumper paint, condition under the car, do a compression test, look at the plugs, look in the valve cover etc. and finally look for replacement of anything (water pump, steering rack, repaint, etc)
Make an offer and in the back of your mind, add ~$5,000 to the price because you're going to need to fix something at that mileage. (Perhaps $10000 if you don't DYI)
I'm guessing you are stretching your budget to buy a c6. As said earlier, u less you are going to redo the whole thing, don't bother.
It may be 11k now, but it was 60k new and parts upkeep and the like are still.prixed that way. Buying that car at the edge of your budget is a baaaad idea.
Need to know how it was maintained.
I have 201,000 on my 07 and would not hesitate to take it anywhere. Kept up with the maintenance and do oil/filter changes at OLM at 50%.
And I'm guessing you would not sell yours for anything near $11k

Good answer that makes the most sense. As long as it has been maintained properly.
OP, as someone said, go to any GM dealer with the vin and ask the service dept to please print the VIS and build sheet. That will hopefully give you some idea completed repair.
I don't feel bad only averaging about 10k a year on mine (not that I care anyway).
Car was definitely not neglected as it survived this long. Shows how good these cars are though. Would I buy it? Probably not as I like to put miles on my car. Probably a good car if you were looking to mod though or race.
