Can anyone tell me what this is?? Convertible part?
Just bought a 2012 Grand Sport. The convertible top is not functioning. I can hear the motor running when I hit the switch but nothing moves. I found some bolts in the back of the car and this piece. Can anyone tell me what it is?

The top won't go down until you slightly lift the front of the top while holding the button down. Also, I think the emergency brake has to be up.

My Wife thought the license plate was fitting and her idea
6-25-16, day after purchase. Mackinaw Bridge & Lake Michigan in background.
What a close similarity! This is a photo of my first Corvette, 06 Velocity Yellow C6 Z51 LS2, 6 speed manual, purchased on 6-24-16, 29,950 miles, since then it has 44,000 miles on odometer, we put on 6,000+ miles the summer of 2017 with a road trip from Michigan to Arizona, Utah, Wyoming and back to Michigan, with lots of sightseeing of National parks in between. One of the most comfortable cars to drive & travel in. Very spacious. I still have this beautiful wonderful Vert. Though a ZR1 calls out to me, lol. Planning a road trip drive thru W. Virginia mountains to Raleigh, NC, then to Atlanta, GA. in June

How well is that working for you with keeping the hood open all winter? Keeping mice out? I keep a car cover on our C6 Z51 all winter, come spring I find some mice turds on top of engine but no nests. I even tried placing shaved Irish spring soap in nylon bags from my wife’s old nylon hose and dryer sheets placed around. To just add salt to the wounds, the mice started eating the soap! That’s some desperate mice! This year I placed more Tom Kat poison around the garage to see how that works. Don’t want the mice to start chewing into wiring or water hoses...

Purchased my first Vet last night. 07 Coup Z51, Victory Red. Weather here is crap so they are keeping it for a few days (might be more) until the roads are somewhat dry. The full effect has not hit me yet but I am sure it will when I see it in my garage! Will post pictures when in possession.
