This is what I am trying to say. There is no recall when I put my VIN in. Yet, my roof came off like all the other models it did fall into. The piece of crap GM is, they won’t honor it. Like it was my fault the adhesive got loose and my roof blew off. Another dealer is going to say the same exact thing.

Not necessarily; the cable itself might have broke, but is less likely.
I believe the front bushing is the most likely to break first. They can be had for a few bucks.
However, you might want to replace the entire cable. The OEM is around $50, then you have new bushings both ends and a new cable for not a lot of money.

For a couple months now my shifter kept getting stuck in park. I had to really hard hold the shifter down to guide it to the gears. It finally gave up. It has to be the bushing after hearing that, right?
