I believe that is the connector for the hood light.

That would explain why I can't find what it plugs to. I have a 427 with carbon fiber hood and no light.
Thank you

I don't think my Grand Sport has a hood light also. I think if it is for a hood light then it is a requirement for another market that requires them. I know some versions have headlamp washers for example.

When they deleted the under hood light in 2007, they didn't delete the harness/plug it in the engine bay itself. Know of a couple of people who installed hood lights in later model C6s and the harness/socket was there which, other then changing the hood liner, made it basically plug-n-play. Neither of them was a GS, so I can't be 100% sure, but my guess would be they have the same harness/socket as well.

And the plug is on the harness of my '13 GS that I used when I bought the underhood light
