Default M2W alternative

so this weekend I pulled my fuse and I really Love the exhaust sounds! I do need it quiet during the week as I leave very early in the morning though. My Vette is my daily driver. I like the M2W but do not want to carry another fob. I read somewhere where one can be programmed to use one of your visor buttons and there is another option to use a hard wired switch. Any info on these would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim

I keep the fob in the cub holder. It stays in the car, I don't carry it with me.

But there is a button style switch you can install also.

Get one from CorvetteCentral.com (or ebay)....get the one with the foot control. Put it on your dead man pedal (farthest to left). Very easy to turn on and off, no fob to carry or find, takes 10 minutes to install.

Double-sided Velcro tape on the fob and I have it "attached" on the lower part of the dash near the dimmer controls.

I like the foot pedal but I grew up with dimmer switches there so it's second nature. I even tried to use a dimmer switch but there is not enough room under the dead pedal for one so I had to buy a smaller switch. I bought a box of ten, I can send you one.

I like the DashLogic for using the mirror switch, but it is expensive and you my not want to the customized HUD and DIC feature.

A roll of wire, an in line fuse, two spade connectors and a micro switch. Costs about 15 bucks. Never have to go looking for a second fob in your pocket.

A lot of input on this! Did y’all get the parts to do this in a kit and where from? Tim

Like some on here, I bought the M2W and didn't want the extra fob in my pocket, so I did the 3M damage free hanging and attached my fob to the dash and it works perfect for me.

Check post #2 for an Amazon link. That's the foot pedal version. There is also a remote key fob version.

Mine came with the fob and I hated it on my keychain and hated even more in my cup holder. Previous owner had it velcoed under steering column, again not to my liking. I opted to hard wire it where the cigarette lighter location.

That looks great! Do you have any install pics and a parts list?

I originally had the one that used one of the visor buttons but that was awkward to me. Then I got the ManKnob and love it. Discrete and right where you want it's done looks factory. Expensive but I like it. If you want to get you existing **** recovered, you could rig up your own just like it.
