I'm not patience enough to go thru the searches - I've read somewhere LEDs have issues with being used at diming - so any problems installing at all areas (map lights) in an '08?
I installed leds in the rear view mirror. They dim fine but I discovered they Emmit a small amount of light even after the 20 minutes safety shut off. Had them for months now and never had any low battery issue. I love how bright they are.
I've been using LED's from JDMastar.com They are GREAT to work with (actually have live people who answer the phones - in LA no less!) and their products are top quality.
I swapped out all interior bulbs to LED 5 years ago. Most burned out in 2 years. Went with a national name brand at 4 x the cost and all are still working fine.
Just swapped out my map lights and footwell lights with some leds. They were glowing very dim when the car was off. I even waited 20 min to see if the car would shut it off, and it didn't. Read old post too put the xenon bulb back in the footwell and that fixed my problem.

I have the same issue,,, very low amount of light all the time after the car is off. but all is good other than that
I got these LEDs about a month ago from SuperBrightLEDs and put them in my rearview mirror and the floor lights. I'll just say they're BRIGHT. Honestly, almost too bright for my taste. They light up my entire interior at night. Think I might get some that are a little dimmer. But if you like bright LEDs, these are awesome! They stay on for 20 seconds or whatever after shutdown and then turn off completely like they should. Great performance.
I'd recommend going to SuperBrightLEDs and searching through the 194 bulb section. You can choose different colors, lumens, angles, etc.
