Default HUD problem

All of a sudden my HUD disappeared. I worked all of the related controls on the left dash.......nothing. I then pulled the HUD fuse located inside the car under the passenger floorboard and replaced it after about 30 seconds. Then the HUD worked fine until I shut the car off and then started it again and it disappeared again. I did the fuse pull twice..same issue...Any ideas?
Thanks

Mirror might have come loose. Can you see any of the display, even look down into the display from outside? If so, it’s probably the mirror is loose. Many YouTube instructions on rem0val and repair or replace.

This is a common problem. Usually the pin that holds the mirror breaks. Do a search for HUD repair.

Thanks for the responses butwhen I pull and replace the HUD fuse I can see the display just fine but when I turn the car off and back on I cant see the display. The fact that I can see the display after I pull and replace the HUD fuse tells me the mirror or lens in still in place.. I guess?

Works properly w/ correct alignment after removing/replacing fuse?
I'd be inclined to check HUD connector, make sure it's seated, I'm sure it isn't easily accessed.
Unfortunately a loose connector's symptoms don't fit, It'd work --or not.

Bad/failing bulb?

I have had my HUD equipped car for more 2 years with no issues. Recently on a particularly hot and sunny day, I was forced to park my car outdoors in the heat of day. When I got back to my car it was like an oven inside. To make matters worse, I lost my HUD display. I tried all the controls and nothing seemed to help. I thought that perhaps it was just overheated. Got the car back home into the shade of the garage and waited a few hours for the car to completely cool down. Restarted the car and the HUD was back working just fine. From now on, during the summers months, I put a sun shade into the windshield and I have not had that problem reappear (or disappear as the case may be.)
