Not at all. I live next to woods on a half acre. And thanks to my wife and daughter, we've had cats for years. Two of the worst things you can do with cats..........declaw them and let them outside. One cat we had for 13 years would go outside and sit on the porch banister and go no farther. As soon as someone opened the door he'd run inside. There are thousands more things that will kill or hurt a cat outdoors including a bunch of guys on here apparently. Not to mention fleas and ticks that they drag back inside. If your pet cat is one you care about, you'll keep it in.
