Squeak? What squeak?
Ever have that noise you hear but when you take it for service, it never repeats? 2008 base coupe, M6 with Z51 option. 56 k miles on the clock. Had a front end squeak after car driven for 10-15 minutes that got progressively louder with driving time. Luckily, after a few tries, I was able to get it to the dealer while it was squeaking. Checked out the normal culprits such as muffler clamps, sway bar bushings and end links and ended up replacing front leaf spring but guess what showed back up? Yep, the squeak returned. Turned out to be a front shock. Replaced both shocks and all bushings and its all quiet now. Good news is my GMEPP paid for the repairs except for a deductible. I have a super dealer in Houston (Parkway) as well.
