I did a bone head thing and dropped my top yesterday and it landed right on the back edge creasing it upward!! Took it to my preferred body shop and was told it was toast! So, I'm going to have to replace it. Thinking about going with a transparent top instead of a painted one. For those that have both what are the pros and cons from one to the other? I know the the transparent top will let more heat in, but my roof is off most of the summer days anyway. Car is black if that matters.
I have a black car with the lexan top. almost blends in with the black and hard to notice, unlike other colors. Its a nice blue from inside though. I like mine.

I have both tops. my preference is the 'clear' top. but on certain days ( over +/- 100F° ), I will switch to the body colored one.
the 'clear' is noisier then the solid one. I have added the o-rings & greased the pins, this has reduced the creaking noise.
the solid only occasionally will creak.
beyond those issues, it's still nice to have the option of a simple change, to change the look of the car.
from a looks stand point, the 'clear' one wins for me.
