If you drive that far, you should try to stay more than one day. Parade into Effingham on Friday evening. Beaucoup vendors and special discounts. Excellent seminars for most generations of Corvettes. Install alley or dome has exhausts,Seat rebuilds, vinyl wraps, etc. Saturday night music concert. Thousands of Corvettes! Pretty cool weekend. Go and enjoy!

this sums it up nicely...………………. a large event where Corvette enthusiasts can make the most out of the many opportunities presented to them there to have fun and meet other's...………..

Went for years, missed since 2014 due to health issues.
who’s been? Is it worth a 7 hour drive? What can you have done at the install dome?
Absolutely! My drive is 11 hours round trip and it's worth every mile. This'll be my 11th. consecutive year and I've had a ball every year. It's 15,000 corvettes and 45,000 close friends you just haven't met yet!
For me, the technical sessions are my biggest interest. But you may be more interested in the Install Dome, or walking the acres of cars checking out other owner's ideas and mods. Chevrolet usually sends a trailer full of the latest technology right off the Bowling Green line (ZR1 this year I hope) and the cutaway cars are a great way to understand the engineering built into your car. And this year admission is free. What's not to like?
As another poster suggested, stay overnight (the concert is Sat. night). Hotels are mostly filled but I know of two in the area with rooms as of this week. Call me (901-233-9260) if you need to reserve something.

I have never been . Just bought my first Corvette this spring . It's not but a little over an hour away . Weather shows good Thursday , hope its nice all during it .
I decided to go Saturday and looking forward to it . I am south of Effingham , 100 miles , weather for up there looks COOLER and LEAST chance of rain for Saturday . Down here though , rain for Saturday , hope that changes so I can drive the Corvette . I hope everybody has a good time , and a safe trip there and back home . Be careful if your traveling I-57 , the wrecks on it makes the news very often .
