will not start
Hence could be the park relay switch arm on the front of the shifter not set correctly, the shifter cable not adjusted correctly so the TCM is seeing the trans itself in park, or could be that you just need to do a brake pedal position relearn/brake pedal sensor maybe going south and it needs to be replaced and BPP relearned.
Or, if all the requirements are meet, but the engine will not turn/not throwing codes/no DIC messages, could be a simple as just a problem down at the starter solenoid isntead.
If the engine is cranking, but will not start, then you back to the spark/fuel/ air problem. Hence could be a bad fuel pump relay or fuel pump if you don't have fuel pressure at the rail. Could be a loose cam or crank postion sensor if you have no spark. Could be a problem with the MAF/TB/accelerator sensors if you have no air.
Or hell, could be the ECM having problem itself.
So the break down, conditions in the car have to be meet in the first place to make the BCM happy, once they are meet, then BCM sends the command to the ECM to start the car. With a tech II, you can check all the above to see what is not being meet, and makes the needed repair a quick one instead.

so is it a tran lever problem or did not not adjust the cable correctly.
Hence need to put shifter into part, then trans lever into the park detent, then lock the end of cable to that lenght.
