On my 2011 GS with manual transmission, I cant get my power top to operate. I am sure it is the ebrake switch because the "Brake" light is not showing up on the dash when i engage it. The brake light does illuminate when first starting the car and all the lights go thru a check process. We are on the 3rd day of our Rt 66 trip and it sucks that we can't put the top down. ANy suggestions on doing it manually till we get back home?
Check your trunk, if it is not fully closed the top won't operate. There is a valve you can open to drain the fluid and then move the top but not too easy of a task. Good Luck!

get 6mm Allen wrench and locate the power top pump behind the pass. Seat behind the speaker next to the fender. There is a plastic wing nut holding carpet down. Remove wing nut and pull carpet away towards the center. The pump is now exposed. Top of the pump you will see a Allen head blot. Unscrew one full turn to release Hydrawlic pressure. Refer to your owners manual. The Tono cover has a release cable you will need to pull so the cover will open thus gaining access to the pump for top. Again look at your auto manual that came from GM. good luck!
Did you try the following?
1. Re-index your windows.
2. Make sure the partion in the truck is fully engaged in the up position and snapped in tightly.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable for at least 5 minutes. 30 minutes if you have the time. Re-index your windows after reconnecting your negative battery cable.
2. Make sure the partion in the truck is fully engaged in the up position and snapped in tightly.
If the partition is not fully seated on the passenger side peg, there's a safety interlock switch below that peg that won't get closed. As far as power top operation is concerned, this is the same as having the partition unfolded and lying flat on the floor.
I've dislodged that partition many times when packing too much stuff in the trunk. It's frustrating, but easy to fix.
