Congrats! I'm not a fan of yellow but your car looks really nice.
Regarding the throttle response, I believe GM programmed this "throttle-by-wire" to be light the first 15% or so but the curve rises after that so you're experiencing that effect. I'm not a fan of that as my previous cars (Mustang GT and Camaro Z28) had direct cable linkage to the throttle body and the response was linear. Very intuitive. Throttle by wire takes some getting used to especially when the throttle response is some unknown (to you and me) curve. There are aftermarket throttle modules you can buy to fix this though I'm not sure the 2005 model is included. Just get used to giving it a bit more gas and you'll be fine!
Have fun!

Wow that yellow is BOLD, looks good. Bludice's yellow coupe looks a little softer yellow but probably the angle with the sun. Just got back from a long drive in my 05 6 speed AW Coupe and I still say to myself that this is a h e l l of a nice driving Corvette after 2 years of ownership. Enjoy it!

Congratulations and welcome here. Yellow wouldn't be my 1st choice either but it does look sweet on a C6 nonetheless.
