I own a 06 zo6 with polished aluminum wheels. Is there a diy way to repair scratches?

Yes....but unless you have a high amount of body repair experience (paint....sanding....buffing....etc) I wouldn't recommend it. The scratches can be sanded out if not too deep, but then you have the buffing to deal with. You need to use a high speed buffer (not one of those orbital ones) to get the best finish which can be hard to get into some wheel areas. Then you have to deal with the clear coat that you will need to re-apply if applicable. Save yourself some trouble and Take it to a professional wheel shop.......

Look for a specialist shop in your area. Alloy Wheel Repair is a national chain, is in most major areas and has a good reputation. I've used them. There are others including local shops but you would need to research them before trusting them.

Ebay is a great place to find them.
