C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019

Default

I'm currently using 1 qt of M1 0W-30 racing and 4.5 qts of M1 5W-20 to gain the small advantage of the slightly lighter weight and the additional ZDDP. wear protection. Based on conversations with our forum oil guru, that combo works well for street and strip. What the OP is using is more than sufficient, even if he intended to drive it hard.

That seems to be the consensous. I was never too concerned but it has been interesting to hear suggestions. The 'Walmart' option is intriguing. Wish I would have thought of that. Not! Ha!

Some folks have more important things to worry about.

If I was that dog, I'd be worried about a couple of things.

It's not modified and is not raced. Only sees WOT occasionally. It's mostly a cruiser and will likely only get another 3-4 k on the clock before changing again next fall.
My '12 GS A6 says 5W20 right on the oil filler cap. I cannot imagine it hurting anything in your M6.

The skiers I know are happier than hell. Early start to the season -- there is a resort about 5 miles from me.

If living in the south is so great, why doesn't everybody live there?

Are you kidding me everybody from up North is down here this time of year. It's like living in NYC because it's so crowed. So to answer your question everybody is down here.

If you took a poll asking if people if they would rather be on the beach in January, or be in the snow wearing 20 pounds of clothing in sub zero temps. What do you think most or all would say?
