Silver, of course! At least for my silver Vette.

I am partial to chrome, and I don’t see that changing.

I vote for Chrome with the everyday street tires, and the Silvers for your track tires.... Make it easy on yourself, and besides at race speeds who's looking the rims...

I love chrome rims, I have them on my C6 & C4.
BUT--expect pitting to occur within a few years. Mine pitted on both my Vettes, and I never use them in the rain, and keep polish on them.

Pick the one that makes you smile the first moment you enter the garage...

I know I'm probably in the minority here but I personally despise chrome/polished wheels. I think it's cheesy-looking and cheapens the look of the car. A nice satin silver or even a gray looks SO much better IMO and it's free because that's the standard wheel finish. Heck, I'd pay more to NOT have chrome but fortunately, I don't have to!

But this is such a subjective thing that you really need to do what you like, not what a bunch of goofs on the internet say.

[QUOTE=Mayor111;1598360570]Then that's two mistakes you just admitted - wrong generation and black wheels...

Z06, GS or ZR1 wheels on a base is worse than mixing generations. Reading the forum comments, someone my age is supposed to only like chrome.
The black C7 Z51 replicas look much better than the original chrome wheels did on my 05 coupe. They also make the drilled rotors and powder coated calipers really stand out.

I've posted this picture in another thread but here it is again to prove my point.

I am not a fan of the chrome, and the silver is uninspiring which is why I chose the comp grey rims on my Machine Silver 2008.

Your choice.

Different animal. The MS paint looks great on the car body but the OEM silver paint on the rims, is not the same color cause it goes with all the OEM paint colors for body. The rim silver does not match my MS body paint.

Anyway there is no right answer, all in the eye of the beholder.

Its hard not to like the chrome look just a little too flashy for me. I hate to say chrome is the better of the two but I would sell them both and go with another option.
So many wheels out there to choose one of these options.

My exact feeling on silver wheels. Cheap looking like its base or standard equipment. And I DID pay more to get rid of the cheap silver wheels.
