I think I get it now, the Atom - Corvette Z06 match-up was a coincidence.
The Corvette and black Mercedes AMG were just coming off of a previous lap duel, you can see them both at 00:18 in the return lane, the Merc passenger was looking at the Atom as they entered the pay station. The Z06, Atom and AMG were in line coming out of the 'chute and then the Z06 waved the Atom to pass so he could play with the AMG once more. Finally the Z06 caught the Atom and passed him, then once again he waved the Atom by so he could wait for the AMG - again. The Z06 and AMG played catch-up until the end of the race when the Atom slowed down and the black Mercedes AMG driver sucker punched both the Z06 and Atom and slid by to get to the finish first.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it... hahaha

Yeah I noticed that too, nice.

Who/what was that black car that passes the Atom at the end 9:43?

Interesting watch. I am not sure if I have seen this before but why do professional drivers seem to minutely wiggle the steering wheel back and forth on turns? Grip? Or am I just imagining that?

The Ariel driver was sebastian vittel ,,,, Formula 1 driver, so he knows the track. Exciting show since the Vette Z06 was right on his butt the entire time until the Vette runs out of gas near the end.
Adrenaline Rush for sure! Vittel gave kudos for the Z06 keeping up with him.

Yea, Vittel alright...

He's NOT an F1 driver. He's some guy scamming you into views, posting racing sim videos as if they're hot laps, it's a joke. Not a single video on the channel has him speaking in an interview, give it a rest already.

It's a cool vid and he's a great amateur driver, but he's not some F1 champ. Go find the vids of Jan Magnussen driving the Z06 on the ring and you'll see what it's like to drive on the edge. There's pics of him with the car with all 4 wheels off the road. THAT'S pushing it.... Even vids of his (JM) un-timed laps in a C6Z make most drivers look like they're driving in 1/2" of snow.

You mean like this...

Here's one of GM's Jim Mero driving, lot of gauges to watch on this one.
