What are the two silver things on the nose for?

I seriously doubt those are capable of towing anything. Possibly someone was to lazy to hold a fishing pole and ran some fishing line through them. Hope the fish wasn't to big!

I am thinking at one time there was a splitter on the car and those had struts attached to the splitter

They screw into the bumper cover from the bottom side. Easily removeable. I'm just trying to see what they are for.

The car has corvette racing floor mats and had a corvette racing decal down the center of the hood but dealer removed it.

You use them with bailing wire to hang your front license plate from.

Also, they'd be very handy for hanging Christmas lights.
