I purchased a 2012 vette. I put the black rims on her and want to remove the attached side vent screen. I do not want to paint it but to remove it permanently. I have no idea the brand of this screen or how it is attached, i would prefer not to go thru the wheel to remove it. Any suggestions?? THX in advance.
The only way to get it out is to remove the wheel, remove the fender liner fasteners, and reach in the fender to pull it out. It's just held on by double sided tape.

Installed the screens in my vents; had to follow the steps Ed describes above to do so, so would have to do the same to remove them. I would recommend a good set of needle nose pliers to grab ahold of the edge of the mesh and gently work it lose.
I think there is a big area behind them in the fender. Possibly shove it in to break it free from the tape and fish it out of the opening (without having to open up wheel well).
I had some DIY ones I made and attached with velcro. When one came loose, it disappeared inside the fender.
