Difference in 2011 Carbon Edition vs CFZ/Z07?
Looking at 2011 Inferno orange Z06 with carbon fiber package and Z07. What is the difference in this car compared to ULZ carbon fiber car?
Z06 production numbers show 904 for full year and 504 with CFZ and 540 with Z07. Do these numbers above include the 252 units for the Carbon Fiber edition cars?
Thanks

The main differences will be appearance based. Carbon editions came with different stitching inside and some stickers. Well, those differences and likely a tidy sum of money due to rarity and specialness of carbons editions.
Can't help with the numbers part.

ULZ Z06 Carbon: "Black headlamps and mirrors, a ZR1-style body color spoiler, body color door handles, carbon fiber raised hood, and black carbon fiber rockers and splitter...
...ebony leather and suede interior is complemented by blue or orange seat stitching to match the exterior color chosen. Other features include a unique steering wheel emblem, sill plate and logoed headrest." And the stickers of course.
"The CFZ Z06 carbon fiber package includes black carbon fiber rockers, splitter and roof panel with the full-width body color spoiler."
Interesting that someone ordered it the way you said, rather than ULZ. I briefly looked at a rather heated thread earlier about ULZ being discontinued (or not) so that might be the case.
I'd treat all three option codes as being separate.

So basically the same car...color,performance, handling, braking, etc...
Any idea on the MSRP for the carbon edition? This car has a window sticker just above $98K

Yep...black roof and body colored mirrors and headlights. It does have the raised hood. $15K is a big jump for the same car minus the stickers on the door and trim accessories...

And I believe the Carbon Edition was the only option package that included these fuel rail covers.
These covers had been discontinued by GM many years ago ... Finding a set of these covers is all but impossible today.
The GM part number for a set of these covers was 19159030
I believe GM also made a few sets of these with a light blue lettering (but red lettering was most common).

I thought the carbon package was only on z06's? Why would a LS3 have a carbon package?

I don't know of any Carbon Editions that received the "Carbon fiber-look" fuel rail covers.
The $15,705 Carbon Special Edition pkg included:
Really not bad when take a look at the prices of the components included in the pkg.
Also a previous poster (since this thread is 4 years old) incorrectly stated the Carbon Edition was $15k more than a Z07-equipped car. It wasn't.
The $15,705 Carbon Special Edition pkg included:
- carbon fiber raised hood (~$5k)
- Black painted carbon fiber front splitter & side skirts (CFZ, $3,995)
- Body-colored ZR1 rear spoiler
- Suede interior components
- specific seat & steering wheel logo
- Body-colored interior stitching
- Black headlamp bezels & outside mirrors
- 20-spoke black ZR1 wheels (19/20)
- Body-colored door handles
- race pedals
- Euro-style racing number & assorted decals
- Unique VIN
- Brembo carbon ceramic brakes (~$9k)
Really not bad when take a look at the prices of the components included in the pkg.

If anybody would know, it would be you! Did you buy your CE new?

I did not buy it new, but wanted one since they were announced. Took me 10 years to find the one I have. I do have all the original paperwork including the Callaway paperwork (additional $25,180).
In 2011, the Z07-equipped cars could not get the carbon fiber hood. They could in '12-'13.
The Z07 pkg price was $9,495 & the CFZ carbon fiber aero pkg was $3,995, so $13,490. That makes the Carbon Edition only $2,200 more than a Z07 and it had the carbon fiber hood which GM charged anywhere from $4-6k for, a unique VIN & really cool stickers .
Imo, it makes the CE a better deal.

My mistake ... Anyone know what cars actually came with those 'Matte Carbon' fuel rail covers ?

I prefer real carbon fiber if you're going to do it vs fake printed.
