As a business owner, here in America, it is entirely within your rights to conduct business however you deem fit.
However, your post excluding the military from those who you deem worthy, given your criteria of who actually keeps you safe is an insult to every veteran who ever served at any point in our nation's history.
Virtually blaming service members (who literally sign away all their rights in order to protect our country) because of policy and orders from above, which they are sworn to uphold, and who actually have less voting power than the average citizen is scarily close to the attitude displayed when your dad got home.
I have never met a vet who expected a discount for public service, but to be excluded from actually being considered among those who are protecting us (even if we aren't aware of it); amazing!
You will never see a dollar of my family's money.

I qualify for this discount in at least 1 way...I never even ask for a military discount in businesses even though I know they are widespread, Based on paragraph # 2 I find you and your business distasteful and disrespectful at the minimum. You can count me out...

^ What he said. The slap in the face for my service is too much. No business from me either, though the OP clearly does not give a ****. He holds a mall cop in higher regard than our veterans. Sad to say the least.

I'm beginning to understand the general conclusion regarding military discount. It appears that my feelings towards military discounts may have a more personal stigma than are justified given recent events in my family and do not reflect my attitude towards veterans (combat or otherwise). I recognize the original post was made in in haste and at a time of personal weakness and offer a public apology.
Effective immediately, I am extending our standing discount to ALL ARMED SERVICE PERSONNEL (incl State guard, national guard and coast guard)

Sorry too late for me you made your feelings known and maybe didn't realize how many Veterans drive Vetts so know you change. I am 3rd Generation Navy and my son is now 4th Generation and who are you to question my family's sacrifice for our country.

what the hell does a license to carry have to do with protecting the public. just about any one can get one to protect themselves. protecting everyone is not in the requirements.
