What other muscle cars can beat a c6 ls3?
I was just wondering what other muscle cars below $45k such as: challenger r/t, stock scat pack, any mustang. Could beat a stock c6 ls3? Just like any other muscle car in the same price range as a c6. I have a stock 13’ gs and have been wanting to race others but I wanna know if you guys think I could handle it or should I do some mods before even trying and not get embarrassed.

those newer 5.0's will take you if they get the hit.

Road course... it's all down to the driver. Drag strip... it's all down to the driver.
All the cars mentioned are so fast that a shitty driver will make them slow.
On the street... it's all about tires and launch. I'm going to get some flak for this but Corvettes are NOT good drag cars. The suspensions are set up for turning, and they can tend to wheel hop on launches. You wheel hop, you lose, and you might even break the car doing it.
So based on you asking this question... any new v8 pony car will beat YOU. Dont even bother trying it.

The Corvette is not the best straight line car. There are cars that put the power down better, with less rear wheel drama than the vette. You're in a GS so your gearing is really setup for track use, unless you're starting from 2nd or 3rd in a roll you're going to lose. Don't take it personal, its not the cars primary objective.
Wrong how?

the older mustangs are live rear axel but the new ones are IRS ....soo it’s level playing field. I’ve heard of people taking 04 cobras and putting a live rear axel on them if they made them into a serious drag car.
I am am not sure at what point it matters, maybe sub 10s

I hope that you don't decide to race only, on if you think can beat the other car.
if that's the case, then why race at all?
I do know enough to not play with telsa's, or most of the high end exotics but, anything else would be dependent on
the circumstances ( i.e. traffic, road conditions ).
when you get those times when, you're lined up next to someone, the road is clear ( traffic / pedestrian ), I've been know
to test the waters.

The thing is, learn to launch your car the best you can possibly can, that’s where most street races are won or lost. 90+% of drivers aren’t competent in this area. My old Z28 (1999 Bolton’s, cam, converter) was a 11.90 car but on the street I wasn’t afraid of Hellcats, and even beat a couple.

My Chevelle can beat my Vette as long as no turns are involved.

FYI, Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines and on top of that he just went into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos with NOS and a Motec exhaust.
