I used the pre cut Vettenuts insulation kit, just the basic one. Got it when it was on sale for like $99. The work wasn't too bad, just a bit time consuming to remove everything. The pieces were all labeled and fit well. Noticed a small improvement but unless you put a ton of layers of MLV or heavy insulation, I don't think anything will be a drastic improvement in noise reduction. For $99 and a few hours over a couple of days, i'm glad I did it.

I did the Crazy Cowboy kit over 10 years ago. I've helped install the same type on 3 different cars with insulation from Home Depot. 48" x 25 feet is under $50 with aluminum tape and cut it yourself. Huge difference if you do the whole car. Not so much if you only do half.

I went on Amazon and bought bulk sheets of Dynamite and Noico and did it myself. Total cost was abou $325 but it does take a couple of days or more if you do everything including the doors. Stripping the interior does take some time but Youtube is helpful. The end result is the car seems much more solid and the tire noise is much reduced along with the general road noise and exhaust drone. Overall I would say 30+ % reduction in noise and heat. Glad I went head and did it.
