Is this a good price? 2013 GS 6MT 16k miles $37,900

When you walk up on a car that is all shiny and slimey under the hood and that interior, you still have no idea if they cared to do everything it needs up until the day before they put it up for sale. I would rather walk up on a car in its natural state than one someone just ran across town and had a cheap detail done will they had lunch.

If you are going to fly, head south and find a car that has never seen salt.

OP, keep shopping. I sold my GS with 42k miles for $33k and unlike the 2011 you just saw, it looked better in person than in the pics. There's no way a car with 16k miles should be in that sort of shape at that price. Here's the link to my FS ad to give you an idea of what's out there....

Man, its disappointing to read about all of these mediocre, neglected C6 Grand Sports. As I type this my 2013 GS coupe sits in my garage looking essentially exactly like it did the day I bought it brand new. I often clean it when its already clean . . . an enjoyable way to relieve stress for me.
I guess to some a Corvette is just transportation and to others its a passion.
Good luck with the hunt.

I've posted this NEWSFLASH numerous times before, but I guess it's time again.

People who are selling something typically ask a higher price than what they will ultimately settle for.
People who want to buy something will typically offer an amount less than what they will ultimately settle for.
The value of anything, at a given point on the globe, at a given time, is determined when the money exchanges hands.

A car that might look like it is brand new might be a pile of crap also and vise versa with one that looks "well used". I wouldn't deal with a dealer that will only come down $1k, it just shows they really are not interested in selling it now.

Ok, Here is a gem...I think!
Local car, the gentleman is the brother to a patient of mine.
2011 GS 3LT, no nav, black interior, 6 MT, Second owner...clean car fax, 37K miles
The only thing on the service record besides maintenance is replacement of the crankshaft pulley/balancer at 7500 miles
Clean as a whistle, a few blackout items I would have done and a color that you dont see a ton.
Needs tires...they are about 30% Michelin Pilot Sports
Asking 33k

No. It's not a "good price." Go buy a C7. There's no comparison between the C6 and C7.......

OP - Is it what you WANT? the colors you've posted up are all over the place, man. don't settle unless you can get one so cheap you can drive it for two years then flip if for a few few grand more than you bought it for.
Link to c7 for $33K, please. And don't give us those first MY lemons either. Oh yeah, the comparison is obvious....the C7 is fugly as discussed in several threads there in the C6 forum.

I dont care about color, unless its **** yellow, brown or green
This one is clean, and looks sharp.
Remember, this will be a car for tinkering and track use. I want it to be mechanically sound and in decent condition for the money. I can get a new 18 camaro 1ss1le for 5 k more, but Id prefer the vette just because many of the camaro forum guys are little 20 year old **** bags with smart mouths. How old are you Jimijam?? LOL!!
My real daily summer car gets delivered in May!

Hold off for a while
Currently own a 2004 CE coupe with 57,200 miles on it. I have been looking at 2012-2015 convertibles for about a week.
I notice that none of the big dealers have much used inventory in stock. Either because the new ones aren't selling therefore no trade ins or everyone is waiting for the C8 and expect price drops on all the model years.
You can actually find C7s with 25k to 35k miles on them for under $40k. Check cargurus, etc.
Also, I have see a lot of the cars sitting on the used car lots have the MAT (Millennial Anti Theft) device in them, so, that may be a bargaining chip if you would want the manual transmission.
I am going to wait to see where the market is going with respect to gas prices and the C8 intro.

Throw about $5K more in the pot and get a 2014+ C7 Z51 M7 with MSRC. With that you’ll get 5 drive modes and 5 sub Track modes in Performance Traction Management...it’ll treat you right on the track!

LOL...Likely! Its the first thing i took off. Got it for 31K
Here she is cleaned up. My plan for her....
1. Change all fluids
2. New track pads
3. New tires
4. Full detail, paint correction, PPF on front end, hood, mirrors and rockers
5. Seat rock fix
6. New seat foam
7. New sway bars
8. New Bilstein Shocks
Want to change out tail lights...he has covers and do something different with headlights to make them LED...or at least whiter.
Ive noticed...
1. Many creaks, groans and rattles....door panel, roof, front of dash?
2. She's squirrely as hell at 120 mph...lots of feedback in the steering from undulations in road
3. It looks bad ***
4. it sounds cool...previous owner pulled butterfly valve fuse
5. Fairly comfy to drive despite squished seat foam
6. Old tires suck
7. What to use on interior plastics without making it dry looking? Everything I used seems to dry out the plastic, and I have a number of nice products I use on the BMW and Porsche.
