Looks like a lot of the responses are dependent upon what brand of headers you have. In my case I had tsps and some of the stuff folks are same here would not have worked in my case and clearly some of the things I have said are not necessary for them. As has been posted several times, just keep that raising or lowering the engine idea in mind because it's probably going to be your solution. You really don't need much additional room. A second set of hands often can be the difference too. Just having someone above and below sometimes helps you find a new position you can't see from one side of the other.
