C6 Tail Light Socket
One of the tail light sockets on my C6 has given up the ghost and I thought it would be a simple matter to replace it. The socket plugs onto the wire, the bulb push loads into the socket and then the socket twist locks into the tail light lens assembly. I cannot find a replacement socket. GM wants to sell me the entire assembly for about $170. This is not more than a $10 part all over the web for most any other car. Any leads would be appreciated. The numbers on the back of the socket are 4SPX 13411_CA 040911009

I used to find parts like this for my C4 in junkyards. Specifically headlight sockets. GM used the same ones on the vette as the impala, caprice, malibu etc.

I had the same problem and went with these:
Not exactly OEM but with a little cut and splice my problem is gone.
Good luck...

Look in the C6 parts for sale section, I saw some members parting cars out might be able to get a couple sockets.

There are some Corvette recyclers that have anything that you want especially for the C5 and C6.

One of my sockets was heavily corroded and light was failing. You can no longer buy just the socket. Dealer wanted $268 for a whole light kit...
Luckily
Dino’s Corvette Salvage had some for $25!

If it fits the taillight housing securely and plugs into the pigtail with the correct wiring, that shouldn't be a problem.

Reach out to Davies Corvette. That's where I got mine from several months ago.

These are what you're looking for. Similar to the Ford part, but the "ears" are a little different.
